I loved this game (and still do) when it came out. I still play it to this day, but I can't fully enjoy it because I have an HDTV, and we all know what happens with that. Not even my grandparents have a CRT TV! The one set only just got an iPad and cell phone. I didn't mention, but it is for the Nintendo Gamecube.

Absolutely. I've played plenty of the Burnout games.

Look on craigslist. Should be able to find a decent sized one for games for around 20 dollars.

This is the euro track, driving the "coupe". Great game. Still own with a game cube I haven't used in a while. AT????? C'mon man MT that! I 100%ed this game, got all the tracks, all the cars, and did perfect runs (no crashes) on everytrack. Was very hard to do euromarathon, I remember that one took forever.

I have many memories of this game, It's hard to play it in a way like you do in its successors.

This was someone esles image. I always drive MT. It is frustrating when I accidentally pick AT.

Taken from the interwebz. I always drive MT. So boring without it.

I've never played it's successors. Are they similar logic?

Imagine trying to push your opponents into the guardrail, while not crashing yourself.

Oh. In the older games it's always fun to crash your opponents into other cars.

Here, compare the two.

Looks like it went fast and furious style...

That's okay. This game with the AT is boring.

Yeah it's true. I always red line to the max. The bus wasn't as much fun as I'd hope it would be.

The bus is a pain, but for some reason i like it.

I have most positions of the cpu cars involuntarily memorized. For example, on the 3rd lap of the interstate track, on the two lane road section, you will encounter a white van passing a truck on the wrong side of the road.
What's wrong with me?

Absolutely I remember this game. Wasted a lot of hours playing it on my friends Gamecube (actually a Panasonic Q). One thing that was way better in the first game was the music. Burnout was somehow acquired by EA, and they were in the habit of using licensed music in their games now that the consoles had enough storage to do it. What this meant was that the somewhat generic but original rock music that would rock harder when you were using boost went away. I always loved that part of the original.
